As Brenda sat in her son's room, another boy fought for his life in the next room. Ricky was his name. Brenda met many people in this hospital as she looked after her son Cody. She ended up staying in the hospital for 8.5 months, looking after him. The doctors and nurses she met, as well as the patients, played an enormous role in her life. Brenda's life has been very eventful. The story she tells in her book Piece by Peace is about her experiences and survival, which she attributes to God. She believes that God used her situation to help others, just like He used Ricky's, William's, and Cody's situations to help strengthen others.

Brenda shares her story and all the lessons she has learned from these experiences. She attaches a matching Bible verse to each lesson she learns. She explains these verses in detail and carefully relates them to her situation. Some of these lessons include forgiveness (which she has done a lot in her life), leaning into God's wisdom, resilience, etc. She encourages the reader to use the wounds they receive to scatter seeds of greatness. It was a great confrontation that Brenda regarded the reader directly as a friend. This goes far to show how she is working to spread kindness to everyone she comes across.

I have worked to provide an overview of the book without telling the author's story. This is because, even with all the pain she has gone through, no one can tell the story better than her. She fills the air with hope whenever she says it. She has commendable narration skills, and reading her experiences firsthand brought a new dawn. It also strengthened my faith and helped me learn to rely on God and communicate with God when I need help, just like she did.

I rate Piece by Peace by Brenda Cain 4 out of 5 stars. I love the lessons she gave. She teaches everyone not to regret the past because that is not useful. She also teaches that suffering exerts pressure and reveals our weaknesses, which is not a bad thing. She shows the power of God and how He walks our journey with us. Brenda has included her family pictures in this book as well, which I loved. I would have given the book a perfect rating were it not for the errors I noted, which show that the book needs to be thoroughly edited. However, there is no aspect I disliked apart from this.

It has already been said that a mother's love is the closest thing we know to God's love, although nothing compares to God's love. The mothers in this book, including Brenda and her mother, have presented this. In this book, we learn about grieving, bitterness, and many other things and how they have been handled. Brenda explains that many things are beyond our control and draws readers to seek God's guidance in any situation they face.

I recommend Piece by Peace by Brenda Cain to all those who are facing tough times. This book will answer most of your questions, if not all. Any reader interested in building their faith will learn from this book's author and the many characters she met. By the end of this book, there is a peaceful feeling, even after the tough experiences she went through.
